experience the intimacy and generosity of the Earth

My works interweave elements of found flora, botanical inks, gathered pigments, and light sensitive solutions, revealing images that offer a portal into ephemeral moments of place and deep time.

By harnessing the energy of the sunlight, silhouetted plants and trees render their forms onto surfaces, creating a language of light - as alchemical processes simultaneously interact with the mineral solutions across the terrain of the artwork.

The trees, plants, land and light hold memories that form layers of meaning; these are embedded into my work. Intended to imbue all those who meet it with the intimacy and generosity the Earth shares with all who listen.

Shaping the stories we tell.

Practice

Grounded in collaboration with the materiality of the Earth, I nurture a creative practice that is rooted in a direct and ongoing relationship with local botanicals. Co-creating natural dyes, plant-based inks and, most recently, the cyanotype process — one of the earliest forms of cameraless photography — these works emerge from a dialogue between land, light, weather, and time.

In my work as a nature educator with young children, I center joyful, imaginal play, care and stewardship, and sensory, immersive experiences. Through movement, song, storytelling, edible foraging, and Earth inspired art making, I open space for children’s innate ability to merge fully into connective relationship with each other and wild places. I model language that honors our interdependence with the more-than-human-world, and practices that recognize and uphold their agency and subjecthood with care, respect, and gratitude.

My practices as an artist and nature educator intertwine and inspire each other, as I share my heart-centered approach with humans of all ages.
